On the 19th of July 2005, David was given the silver medal of Nigrán, the town in Spain where he currently resides.

El 19 de Julio de 2005 a David le dieron la medalla de plata de Nigrán, el municipio en España donde reside actualmente.

The emotional ceremony took place in a Palace.

The mayor of the town presided the ceremonial act and presented David with the medal in the Pazo de Urzáiz.

Tomás Camacho, head of the guitar department at the conservatory in Vigo, gave a brilliant speech, explaining his views on David as a person and as a musician.

In the gardens of the palace the local council offered a party after the act.

La emocionante ceremonia tuvo lugar en un Pazo.

El alcalde presidió el acto protocolario y le entregó a David la medalla en el Pazo de Urzáiz.

Tomás Camacho, jefe del departamento de guitarra en el conservatorio de Vigo, pronunció un brillante discurso, exponiendo su visión de David como persona y como músico.

En los jardines del pazo el consistorio ofreció una recepción después del acto.
