During September 2007, David started a position as artist in residence at the University of Arizona in Tucson (UofA), sponsored by the Sandy and Phyllis Bolton visiting artist fund.

David will be visiting the university each year, teaching the students of the guitar programme there.

David has been going to the university of Arizona in Tucson since Tom Patterson became the head of the guitar department over twenty years ago.

In the coming years, David will work intensely with all the guitarists studying there.

 

Tucson is a fascinating place, surrounded by the Sonora desert. We fell in love with the area many years ago and we look forward to frecuent visits.

 

During a recent visit we had the opportunity to go hiking in the magnificent Sabino Canyon, of which we have included a few photos.

 

The heat, the radiant sun and the barren vegetation make the colours in the desert look all the more attractive and bright.
